    Ahoy,

I must have read that Roald Dahl story a dozen times as a kid. Is the show a faithful adapation or was the beauty of his writing lost in the corporate greed? I think I'll watch it, because I remember my imagination just picking up this story and running with it when I was young and it will be quite interesting to see if the playwriters went in the same direction for portraying the show. I wonder how they'll go about capturing the story in a story in a story.

    Love your blog,

    Dearest Sysop,

The charm remains intact! It wasn't overly corporatized at all (or commercialized at all, for that matter) . I think you would like it if your imagination ran amok when you read this story as a child; it seemed to me that that exact whimsy and wonder was what they attempted to portray! Hope you like it. Anderson's style is hit or miss-- you either love it or you hate it. My advice is to sit back and take it all in! If you like it, I heard they're planning on adapting more of Dahl's short stories, so stay on the lookout.
    Enjoy!
