Hello everyone
I hope that those local to me have been enjoying the winter weather!! I like how I ranted about how sad the lack of snow makes me and the weather immediately proceeded to make me look like a pessimist, lol
I was very glad to see it finally looking like winter, though =)
It looked like it snowed about 3.5in, which is more than I was expecting! I like how our county called two days off school because of that amount, really shows how soft 700+ days of no snow makes ya
(that's not hyperbole, we went about 716 days without snow until recently)
Walking outside brought back nice memories, though! I had forgotten just how silent that a layer of snow makes your surroundings. I went for a walk (rare for me) around 5-6pm when it first started to snow, and I felt like I was walking in a liminal space photograph. Kind of crazy.
that is, when i wasn't praying to not be attacked by an axe murderer. there are no axe murderers where i live, but it sure *feels* like there should be (if you've been to my house, yk what i mean)
My parents were like "you can tell your children that when you were young, it used to snow outside!! they'll be like 'what's that???'" let's hope that bygen beta (?), we've long solved climate change, and the zoomers got to enjoy many more snow days =)
