hello everybody!
welcome to the second edition of my blog! i know it's been a while since my last post, and I apologize for that, but it's test szn and i had to study :(
since my last post, i've realized that there are, in fact, three more wes anderson short films on netflix that i hadn't seen! henry sugar is my favorite, but the rest had their own odd charms and i'd definitely recommend them if you've got an hour to kill :) also! i started watching samurai champloo again! its soundtrack goes SO crazy, and the early 2000's animation style is so nostalgic and comfortable to me. it's not everyone's cup of tea siince it has kind of a "town of the week" type format (and it is often blatantly obvious that it was made in the early 2000s) but i generally enjoy it. anyways! other things: i had a lot of tests this week (actually, they were mostly the same test) and im not too sure they went well :( kind of a bummer. that's life though (do i sound convinced?). our random day off in the middle of the week was nice. although i feel sad about the lack of snow nowadays. i feel that it snowed much more often when we were children, and i don't think it's the nostalgia talking. i looked at pictures in my phone, and the last time t snowed (at least over here) was early january 2022-- a full two years (!!) ago. that's sad! that's a lot! a friend and i were talking about this, and we realized that today's young children don't remember what our area looks like when it's covered in snow. that's tragic! those poor things! i remember my mother telling me not to play in the snow one day because it was so cold that i could get frostbite. think any of these kids have heard that from their moms? i feel so bad for them. my dad tried to reassure me that it's still rather early in the winter, as in our area it does tend to stay cold until mid-March or so. we also did get snow in april a long time ago (i checked for snow outside every single day for a time after, it shocked me so much lol).but... i can't say i have too much hope for the snow showers of our childhoods happening any time soon. i actually just checked the forecast for tuesday since i had heard there was a chance of snow that day. nothing, not even rain. lol. how i'll miss the way our place looks when it snows :( this is why i'm trying to go to college up north. ok, i talked aout snow way longer than i thought i would lol. think i'll sign out for now! thanks for reading my snowpost :)
