    surprise! double posting :P

i've been having this delightful problem where i write a post then completely forget to finish it and it gets posted a million years later (literally my last 5 posts) or some other nonsense... woops.

anyways, i'm just gonna spitball for a little bit and maybe we'll get somewhere. i have no idea what i've said previously on my blog, so if i'm repetitive at all, sorry in advance.

recently i got a 3d pen from tar, it's pretty cool! they just had one around that they weren't using, and they offered it, so i took it home.

i've been enjoying it. at first i was just making some random stuff while trying to figure out how to use it most efficiently, then i got into making actual things!

i don't know how to share pictures on the bbs (and i'm too lazy to figure it out, sorry sysop), so if you'd like to see anything i'm currently doing, i may or may not post projects or art on my website: occultrabbit.justdied.com:80

chances are, if i do post them, they'll go under the arts tab in a separate section than my mspaint drawings (which i will now have to do in pinta i spose, since i moved to linux).

i'll talk about the computer thing in a different post, so stay tuned for that.

continuing, i made a turtle which i plan on giving to one of my sailing coaches, a fish that i gave to my favorite tech teacher (who teaches biology), a horseshoe crab like from slime story (i love slime story so much omg), and a cubic spheal! which i am so unbelievably proud of! it's so cool.

i got a new backpack for school, it's a patagonia bag and it's quite nice. good pockets, plenty of space for what i need, and not too large. very acceptable.

i've been quite into the whole bag thing recently. i got a green messenger bag for work since i didn't need anything big or bulky, and it was fine. then i found the most incredible fish bag on kickstarter, and i was obsessed. immediately. in theory, i'll get it in a month or so, and i am looking forward to it. a treat to myself, if you will.

it's awesome though. they had a bunch of different color ones which all looked great, and one of their backer options was to sponsor a custom bag pattern. one of these was a woodsy looking fish, which is brown and green and looks great (i bought that one).

and then, i keep seeing other people making fish themed cross body bags! it's so bad for my wallet!

my internship ended mid-august (i would've blogged, but i frogot) so i no longer have a source on money. my goal is to make my current spending money last until october, since then i'll (hopefully) get a cash injection from a specific day that has significance to me for no particular reason. and then there's christmas a couple months later too.

but oh my god, so many fish bags. i want all of them. they all look great.

another thing i've been looking into recently is the world of ~art commissions~.

i got this silly cat aquarium character and my older sibling agreed to turn them into stickers for me to put on my computer next time she's home. for a cost, of course, but that's no big deal. her materials, her time, i'm fine with having to pay for them.

i also commissioned this one artist on a certain social media platform that got renamed that nobody uses the new name for, and i'm so happy that i did. bro is crazy good at drawing (can you believe that? an artist who arts good? totally unbelievable)!

i tossed together a google doc of random reference materials for a vaguely nature themed character, and they ran with it. it's so dope. i love artists, they're so magical.

i'm pretty much collecting though. physical trinkets? great, wonderful. digital trinkets? mmmmm-mmmm. also great. i like finding stuff to look at and think about and then just zoning out and thinking about it. pretty fun. nice to do with the funny guys i'm collecting, they're great to just stare at for 10 minutes when i'm doing nothing.

i'd been trying to get back into skateboarding by practicing with tar, who's really good at riding a ripstik. it's quite silly. i didn't get any practice this past weekend, but i think it's starting to cool down a little bit occasionally. this weekend it was around 80 degrees at the highest, which is great because i hate hot weather.

the main issue i've been having is that i keep forgetting to bring my vans shoes and my protective gear to their house, where i've left my skateboard.

i can skate with regular shoes, but sometimes i catch the curved edge on the board and then i almost die. having my hand things would be great at the least though, since it'll save my wrists if i fall.

when i fell off a bike the other day, i hit both of my hands on the street quite hard, and i had a dark bruise on the bottom of my palms on both hands.

anyways, i think i'm getting somewhere with it. i got to the point where i could kick off pretty quickly and ride for a little bit, but slopes and cracks in the ground are scary.

i have absolutely no idea what else i was talking about, i got interrupted while writing this by therapy. i usually have it at 7 pm every other monday, but i forgot about it, and then got jump-scared and had to quickly jump into a call and do stuff.

adhd diagnostic goes crazy, yknow? with the confusingly phrased questions and the options of "never or rarely," "sometimes," "often," or "always." most of my answers were "maybe" or "i dunno." twas alright. i'm like half winning at it.

also, i was fighting with the school over many things, and originally for my 504 thing, they said it would be at least 30 school days from the first day of school before anything could happen. i have a meeting scheduled for this friday B).

which also means they exaggerated a lot, specifically by 22 days, but oh well. i'm glad it's happening sooner than later.

yup! that sure is a thing! i definitely wrote some words!

oh i remember the other thing. okay so since we're back to school now, i'm hoping to get back into my computer projects.

i need to fix my website stuff a little bit- namely, i need a margin under the main section on the home page, add some content to the art page (and add scrolling and a margin like the home page), start putting together the project page, and think about what i'm gonna do for the blog page (if i keep it). i might also add a bonus page (unlinked) that has links to my other sites like github and whatever else.

for my game, i got my git repository set up between github and my laptop, so i can start working on it at school, but i need to get it set up on my desktop still.

i also might work on html pages for my itch and toyhouse accounts since those allow for customization like that (probably in theme with my actual website).

that's all for now, i'll make a post about either of those if i get to working on them, and otherwise probably a week summary this weekend.

    best
